My definition of earth art

I think earth art is something that connects humans to the earth in a way that produces artwork. Earth art is something that a human being creates to exemplify the beauty that the earth already has.
After doing a little research, I was fascinated to find that the earth art creations are usually left, away from civilizations, to deteriorate as they would if they were natural.
Some favorite examples I have found are:
Sky Space, By James Turrell

I like this one a lot because the openness of the ceiling brings in so much light and beauty. But more importantly, it revamps the entire room and gives it a better feeling, one of openness and liberation.

Heart Shaped Pond, in Strongsville Ohio

I liked this one just because it is simple yet sweet, and is reminscent of love.

Lastly, I love Stonehenge. I am not totally sure if this counts as Earth Art, but I find it truely fascinating. The way that it is made to incorporate the sun is phenomenal to me and it must have taken so long to plan and carry out the work. Some of the trilithons used in it's creation came all the way from Wales...150 miles away from England, where Stonehenge is. This kind of dedication speaks volumns about what Stonehenge's meaning must have been to it's creators.
